4446. MINUTES
Proposed, Seconded & Resolved that the minutes of 17th March 2022, having been
circulated and read, were approved and signed by the Chairman.
4447. CLERK’S REPORT

4448. REPORTS FROM OUTSIDE BODIES
Cllr. Matthews informed everyone that the Well Being Hub in Mablethorpe for
Mental Health was open and offered support and guidance on mental health issues
4449. CORRESPONDENCE
LCC had requested Brown Tourist signs for Farmer Brown’s & Huttoft Café. PC
supported.
EA – Beach Nourishment continues with road closure 23-27th May for delivery of
plant & sinker pipeline.
Visit Lincs Coast – funding for bins, benches, planters in locations which enhance the

Environment. Clerk to investigate.
LCC – online survey regarding delivery of Community Diagnostic Centres across Lincolnshire

4452. PLANNING

4453. HUTTOFT CAR TERRACE – UPDATE
P Cllrs. attended official opening of Boatshed Café & hoped that this facility would be
an asset to the coast.
PC had sent a letter to LCC informing them of problems visitors had when using their
phones to pay for parking. Cllr. Matthews informed PC & public that they were
aware of the problems and a meeting would be held after the season to see where
the system could be improved.
4454. SPEEDING MATTERS IN THE VILLAGE
Residents still concerned of vehicles speeding through the village. PC & LCC are
working together but there is no quick solution. It was hoped that 30 mph signs
would be erected at the southern end of the village in due course but northern
end would stay at 40 mph.
4455. GRANTSCAPE GRANT
PC had been unsuccessful in the bid for a grant to install solar interactive signs.
Deferred at present time as PC have no funds to purchase signs.

4456. TREES ST MARGARET’S CLOSED CHURCHYARD
Several trees in the churchyard with TPO’s require maintenance work. Clerk had
submitted an application for TPO work & will know in July if application successful.
4457. ST MARGARET’S CHURCH – UPDATE
The Friends of St. Margaret’s Church had cleaned the church and opened it to the
public in April. The church was under threat of permanent closure and the group
had met with Dr Godfrey, Lincs. Diocesan, to discuss funding to help preserve it.
There was a hole in the knave roof and they needed a temporary cover on the
chancel roof to make in watertight.
It was proposed to give a donation of £250, in principle, once a quote for the
tarpaulin had been received to prevent further damage to chancel roof. 6 P Cllrs for and 1 abstained.
4458. HUTTOFT MILL
Some residents were concerned about the delivery lorries arriving before the Mill
opened & parking in Alford Road. At the present time the owners would monitor the situation & work with residents.
4459. FOOTWAY SURFACING
LCC had recently resurfaced footways in the village. Several areas have already had
grass/weeds growing through the new surface kerbs damaged which made the village look untidy. Cllr. Matthews to contact LCC.
4460. ANY OTHER MATTERS (for discussion only)
A resident has asked if bus stop on eastern side of Mumby Road outside Manor
Cottage could be raised as it was difficult to get on and off the bus. Cllr Matthews
to investigate.
Update on footway on Mumby Road from school car park to garage – Cllr Matthews
to advise.
Vehicles parking on Mumby Road after yellow lines end & causing obstruction.
Email to be sent to TRO & Cllr Matthews.
Residents have requested a continued footway from The Lilacs, Sutton Road to link up with new footway from Mill Lane to opposite Sea Lane as there has been an
increase of people walking along the A52 which has no footway on either side of the
Highway. PC also requested signage on Mill Lane for walkers to be aware of footway,
Also hedge requires cutting as the gate cannot be seen. Cllr Matthews to investigate
Additional signage is required in Sea Lane to make drivers aware of speed limit/no
Footway/pedestrians. Cllr Matthews to inform Highways.
